Hours New weekend hours will take effect May 1st 2010. *Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Reopen 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm *Our business hours have changed. We will close at 12:00 Noon on weekdays (10:00am on weekends) and then we will reopen from 4:30 to 5:30pm. We have tried something new this summer. We let the dogs play outside or in the playroom from 8:00am to 12:00pm straight. They had a wonderful time, were very tired and ready for a nap. We have started asking customers to come in before Noon or later in the afternoon to conduct business. We have found that the dogs were less stressed and more relaxed to have a nap time. More sleep and less stress has caused their immune system to stay stronger while boarding and they are not prone to becoming sick while staying with us. Thank you for understanding this change and helping us keep K-9 Acres the best place to care for your pet around. Even though we are only open to the public a few hours on Sundays or Holidays (Not open Thanksgiving or Christmas) for pickup and dropoff - Your pets will still be cared for by the owner 3 times per day. Charges start on the day you check your pet in. Charges are based on weight. We will weigh your pet upon check-in and check-out. So don't worry, they get to have a fun holiday too. So if the hassle of a busy holiday may stress out your pet, bring them to K-9 Acres for a relaxing vacation away from all of the hustle and bustle. Your mind will be at ease knowing they will be safe.
Making Reservations We reserve the right to turn away: aggressive dogs to humans or other dogs - escape artists - pets with internal or external parasites - ill pets - dogs whom we believe will not do well in a boarding situation - any customer whom we think that we will not be able to please no matter what We do our best to care for your pets. Some dogs really require baths before pickup because they are extremely active and must fingerpaint everywhere when they get the chance. Other dogs don't sleep well in a different environment other then home. Some can get diarrhea do to the change in food or being stressed. Dogs who are not used to other dogs will be stressed and not do well. Other dogs get anxious because they can feel that their owners are. Some bark constantly. But the majority of them love to come and visit which helps them do extremely well. We stay busy most of the year so reservations are required & book very early for holidays. Requirements Before Check In Dogs - RABIES, **BORDETELLA, DHLPP Vaccination, Canine Flu Cats - RABIES, FVRCPP, FELEUK Vaccination Topical Flea/Tick Medication - if needed (We provide these products at our kennel)Free of internal parasites (We will administer medication if needed) All pets must have proof of current vaccinations not to have expired over 1 year. Owners can bring us copies of their pet's records or have them faxed to us from their vet. Please call before faxing |
